I am so thrilled to have found stitchboard community and its awesome pattern wizard!

I have been cross stitching (in addition to other crafts) for years... since I was a child.
Over the past 10 years, aging eyes forced the wearing glasses and stitching 32 & 28 (my fav) counted cross stitching was pushed to the side for other crafts... but I missed it. Sad

I recently discovered a new craft form that is based on cross stitch but instead of thread, it uses an adhesive canvas and small resin faceted rhinestones.... called Diamond Painting. I LOVE IT!!! It has rejuvenated my joy to "cross stitch" ... and thrilled I can do it with my own patterns!

So, I hope no one freaks out if I post something that looks like cross stitch but very sparkly. lol Smiley Look forward to meeting new crafters and again, so glad I found this site!

I hear you about counted cross stitching and eyes. Sigh. Getting older sucks! I used to cross stitch a lot, but can't bear to think of looking at such small stuff now. I used to also love stitching on the smaller counts of linen, over one. Cry My soft, beautiful Zweigart linen...how I miss you, darlin'. LOL.

Ooh, Diamond Painting sounds like so much fun! Do tell! And no problem if you want to upload pics...matter of fact, I demand it! Wink LOL, just kidding, but I would love to see your work! I love sparkly...I'm a big sparkle slut! Laughing
