Crochet by numbers
August 15, 2018 at 8:09:57 PM
Hi, Im new here and am trying to create a pattern to crochet by numbers. It's a greyscale picture of John Wayne with some words on it. I'm having trouble making it clear and always seems a bit dark. Also the words are not clear of all in black. Does anyone have the cleverness to help me please?
TIA
Lou

Hi, and welcome!
Here are a couple suggestions to try.
1. Try turning on the "Anti-alias" check-box in section 8.
2. Try doing slight adjustments to brightness and contrast in section 8. You may try various combinations like set brightness to 5 or 10, or set contrast to 5 or 10, try negative 5 or 10, and see if anything makes it better.
3. You may want to try using shades of gray in section 5.
I would think that a combination of brightness and/or contrast setting changes and possibly enabling Anti-alias would be your best solution. Let me know if this helps. Otherwise I'll try to suggest something else.

Hi,
Sorry about your last message. There's currently an intermittent issue with posting blank messages. I made a couple Community changes tonight to see if they fix the problem.
Could you please re-post your last answer?
Thanks.

Hi Terry,
Not sure how that happened sorry. I didn't post a msg at all. Lol.
Ok I'm about to try your suggestions. I am already using the antialias each time and have upped the brightness and contrast to 5 but will try 10 now.
Thanks
Lou

Hi all,
Is there anyone who can post a chart they've made from a grayscale pic so I can see what they're supposed to look like? I have finally, after days of playing, printed my chart and word pattern and am now scared to start lol
