Hello From Pa!
July 22, 2016 at 7:57:34 PM
Let me introduce myself. My name is Gina and I have only been crocheting for about a year and 1/2. My best friend taught me over Skype. I am a Breast Cancer patient Stage IV and I really needed something to keep my mind busy. I am no longer able to work and I needed to find something to keep me busy before I lost my mind!!!! So she (Charleen) had given me a list of things I needed and I went to my local Michael's and stocked up. I also bought things for looming. She taught me that as well.
I now make little baby dresses and such and I make Breast Cancer hats complete with the pink ribbon and either sell them and I also donate them to my Cancer Treatment Center in Chicago. I have to travel there every month for treatments and CT scans and PET scans and all the lovely things that go with cancer (not really lovely because cancer sucks) just trying to lighten the mood lol.
I have 3 beautiful children 2 women and 1 son. And the apple of my eye Amos Jeremiah my one and only Grand Baby. He is 2 now and I wrap my exsistence around this precious child. I call him my Dumpling! And he loves it!
Are we bored yet? LOL. I have a 5 year old Female Brindle Boxer who's name is Goddess Athena. And she is my little baby. Well she's a 67 pound baby lol. I am married to a Mail Man. But I mostly spend my time alone here at home and I crochet my fingers off lol. Anyway, I think that's enough boring things!
Love and Prayers to you all <3 Gina

Gina,
Welcome!
So happy to hear crochet helps you through troubling times.
And it's wonderful how you can sell and donate the beautiful things you make!
I'm so sorry you have to go through the terrible part of it, the treatments and travel, because you're right...cancer sucks.
It's so important to have an outlet during such trying times, and crochet is an excellent one. Charleen is definitely a gem for teaching you!
Awww, Dumpling...what an adorable nickname...glad he loves it!
Oh, goodness, a 67 pound boxer...she sounds so cuddly!
You're not boring at all...so glad you decided to post!
Feel free to post pictures of your work sometime...so we can all drool!
Love and lots of positive thoughts right back to you!
