My name is Laura and I am a hooker

I crochet and do some dabbling in knitting. I also make sock monkeys. I also like to upcycle, recently turned a suitcase into an end table.
I live in Kansas about an hour outside of Wichita. I am married and between us we have 8 children (all grown) and have 14 grandchildren with one on the way.
I am impressed with this site and hope to return often! I have had a sock monkey graph for years, and now I think I will get busy on it.
Look at that smile! (Photo guaranteed unretouched)

Hi, Laura, from a fellow hooker!
Sounds like you're going to be busy making things for quite a while...that's a large family!
How wonderful about the sock monkeys! Do you crochet, knit or sew them? A very dear friend of mine makes sock monkeys as a hobby. They're so cute! (She sews them.)
Please do stop by as often as you'd like, and share photos of your finished work...we'd love to see it!

I'm a beading, knitting and crochet addict. If that means I'm admitting I have a problem, then I admit to nothing. Please refrain from helping me.
