HELLO I AM A NEWBIE!
January 14, 2015 at 8:14:31 AM
Hi my name is Carleen aka Mean Carleen, NO, I am not mean but I did 'earn' the name from a co-worker a long time ago.
I am a sewing, (over 30 years) quilting (5 years) crocheter (16 yrs) who is DETERMINED to learn how to crochet with graphs and hoping to meet other crafters who can share, help, encourage and inspire.
If someone could point me in the right direction to begin learning how to crochet using graphs I would really appreciate it.

Hi Carleen,
Welcome aboard.
You can upload a picture to the pattern wizard, and after you've made your choices it will generate a graph with each square being one stitch.
The standard crochet choice is best for single crochet, while the tunisian gives you more choices to make because it is so different from standard.
Hope that is helpful, and if not, feel free to post more questions.
Sherry

Carleen,
Hi, and welcome!
I definitely second what Sherry said.
With the freePatternWizard, you can use standard crochet for single crochet, Tuisian if you want more choices. And definitely nothing right or wrong here...just a matter of personal preference.
Some prefer single crochet, some prefer Tunisian...just work with what you're most comfortable doing!
I'm sure you'll have no problem...you've been crocheting for quite some time, so I have no doubt you'll master graph crochet!

I'm a beading, knitting and crochet addict. If that means I'm admitting I have a problem, then I admit to nothing. Please refrain from helping me.
