Hello,

Does anyone know of a pattern maker (it doesn't have to be free, but hopefully not terribly expensive) that will allow the user to print a pattern that is text based as opposed to graphic?

I'm attempting an art project where it would be really beneficial to have patterns that an interchangable second person could read without having to learn a complex symbol system and grid...in other words, I want to minimize human error by having Red represented by say an R, instead of a pair of music notes...I will be working with a very limited number of colors, and am totally willing to do some word processing to get where I want to be.
