Note that the following message is old and does not apply anymore but I didn't just want to delete it.  We now offer both a 300 and 500-stitch option through our Premier Features subscriptions.

Quote:
We sometimes receive requests for the freePatternWizard to create patterns with more than 150 stitches across.

Currently the limits are set at:
100 Stitches Across for non-members or non-logged in members
150 Stitches Across for logged-in members

These limits include all stitch types; beading, crochet, cross stitch, and knitting

We do have an option that we can bump the limit up to 300 in case someone requests it.

Once in awhile we get a request to go higher than 300.  A future, more commercial version will allow more than 300 stitches across but we're wondering if the need is there in the free version.

For example, one recent request was from someone who has a 400x700 pixel image who wants to stitch a 40x70cm item at 10 pixels per cm.

Please let us know if you feel a need for more than 300 stitches across.  We may up the limit a bit more.

Thanks.

Thanks for asking, yes I do think there is a need to bump the stitch count up.

I would kind of like to see the limit bumped up for registered members.  I'm usually okay with the 150 across limit because I like working on smaller throws that can be completed faster, but I may want to attempt a larger afghan at some point so having at least a 300 stitch upper limit would be nice.

Question to members

Hi, mdory.

I just upgraded your account to allow up to 300 stitches across and 1000 down.

I've also noted that we've had this additional request.  I suspect that we may soon raise member limits a bit.

Hi - I would love to be able to do this - I'm looking to crochet a Union Jack single bed blanket so would be looking at a width of 240 stitches and a length of 360. Even patterns I've found to buy are all only 150 x 200.

Hi, Kittyzcool!

I just upgraded your account so now you can do up to 300 stitches across and 1000 down.

Hope this helps!

This is what I go by when deciding project size. In single crochet.
Size in stitches (stitches per row x number of rows)
Afghan  150x150
Twin      130x200
Full        150x250
Queen   200x300
King       300x300

My current project is a patriot blanket 240 x 360 for our bed.
I couldn't have used your program for this graph due to the limitations on size.
I will gladly switch to making my charts with your program if I could
1) choose the size I need
2) edit the graph before it is saved (define edges, eliminate unneccesary shading)
3) THE MAIN REASON, WORD CHART the graph after editing! This part of the process is so time consuming.

I had even considered going to school to learn programming to make my own program to word chart for me! LOL

I would pay to use this program if it would do those 3 things! Plus the awesome stuff it already can do. Wink

Thx

Hi, katz61 and barb7977!

Sorry about the delay.  I just upgraded both of your accounts so you can now create larger patterns.

I would love to love to be bumped up to the premium account. I have been dying to make a bigger blanket other than 150 stitches!!!
