Matching colours
June 10, 2015 at 6:16:26 AM

Hi,

I have designed my pattern using the switchboard full pallet and I'm so happy with it.  Does anyone know of a yarn brand that is a close match to the switchboard colours?

Many Thanks

Sarah

Sarah,

The best thing would be to recreate your pattern using the Stitchboard Basic Palette.  The basic palette was added specifically with yarns in mind.  The problem with matching the full palette is that yarn manufacturers aren't interested in making hundreds of colors, as they'd likely not sell more than a few skeins of many of their colors.  So this is why you're best off with the basic palette.  I know the results are better with the full palette, but unless you're interested in making something with DMC numbered embroidery floss, the colors will be impossible to match, I'm sorry to say.
